Wrens, GA (March 4, 2020) – According to police, a 3-week-old child was killed in a fatal crash on Kings Mill Road in Wrens involving one vehicle.
The incident took place around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2. The vehicle was traveling south on the roadway when it suddenly ran off the road and struck a light pole.
Police confirmed that the driver was an 18-year-old male who overturned the vehicle, which caused the baby to become ejected and violently thrown under the vehicle. The mother and child were in the backseat at the time and the child was not properly restrained.
The Georgia State Patrol confirmed that the driver lived, though he was injured. They are expecting charges.
The investigation into the collision continues.
