Augusta, GA – One Killed in Fatal Accident on Gordon Highway

Augusta, GA (July 14, 2019) – Police claim that one person was killed in a fatal accident that took place at 1500 Gordon Highway in Augusta.

The accident occurred around approximately 10:45 p.m. on Friday night, July 12. The victim was quickly identified as a 25-year-old woman. She was unrestrained in her vehicle at the time.

The accident took place when her vehicle suddenly rear-ended a stopped vehicle that had been stopped at the scene of another accident when there was still heavy traffic in the area.

The woman was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the county coroner.

At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
