Buckhead, GA – Woman Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run on Peachtree Road

Buckhead, GA (July 16, 2019) – Police are still searching for the driver who didn’t stop after a hit-and-run accident that caused serious injuries to a 20-year-old.

The accident allegedly took place on Sunday when the woman, a student in the area, was walking on Peachtree Road. She was suddenly struck by a black Dodge Charger that sped through the crosswalk. The vehicle struck her twice and then fled the scene.

Witnesses said that the woman flew up in the air after being struck at top speeds. When she landed in the grass, the vehicle drove over her legs and then fled the scene.

The student is now in intensive care with three skull fractures and bleeding in the brain. Police have confirmed that she could be there for over a month, recovering.

The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
