Chickamauga, GA (July 7, 2019) – The Georgia State Patrol arrived at the scene of a fatal ATV accident that took place around 7:37 p.m. that took one life and seriously injured another party.
At the time, a 28-year-old man had been driving an ATV with a 27-year-old female passenger on the back. The ATV tried to negotiate a curve and sent it off the side of the road where it violently struck a tree and came to a final rest facing south on the roadway.
Both of the parties were ejected from the ATV after the forceful impact. One person passed away at the scene while another was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
