Dekalb County, GA (July 4, 2019) On the evening of July 4th, a vehicle collision happened on the Interstate 20 Freeway right before 8:00 p.m. An unspecified number of vehicles collided in the westbound lanes right before Candler Road (Exit 65).
When the police department arrived, they found vehicles damaged and had to block off some of the lanes as they called crews to clean up the damages. The paramedics tended to everyone who was harmed in the collision and transported those who needed further treatment to the closest hospital in the area.
Authorities are still investigating to determine what led up to the accident and who will be held fully or partially liable.
