Lilburn, GA (July 8, 2019) – The Gwinnett County Police Department responded to the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident on Dickens Road yesterday, July 7.
The accident took place around 9 p.m. when police claim that a motorcycle was involved in a serious crash near the area of the Hopkins Elementary School. The driver of the motorcycle has since been identified as a 27-year-old.
The police department claims that the motorcyclist had been passing traffic and struck a blue Toyota Rav4 head-on. There was a passenger inside the Rav4. Both of the occupants in the Toyota did not sustain injuries and are okay.
The motorcyclist was ejected off of his motorcycle and died due to his injuries.
At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
