Long County, GA (July 7, 2019) – On Saturday, July 6 around 6:30 p.m., a man was killed in a fatal boating accident on the Altamaha River in Long County.
Long County Sheriff’s Office stated that the 23-year-old man was struck by a moving boat near the Adamsons’ Fish Camp boat ramp. Emergency crews were immediately called to the scene of the accident and were able to pull the man out of the river. They brought him onto the bank and then took him to the Reidsville Hospital by ambulance.
The man, from Tattnall County, tragically passed away last night.
At this time, various police departments are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
