Matthews, GA (July 13, 2019) – Police claim that last Sunday around 9:03 a.m., a 23-year-old woman was killed in a fatal accident at the intersection of State Route 4 and Campground Road.
The County Coroner was called to the scene of the accident, who claimed that the woman passed away at the scene due to blunt force trauma to her body.
At the time, the woman was driving north when she suddenly lost control of her vehicle, which caused her to crash. She had been driving a Ford with four passengers in it. The SUV traveled off the road and into the median where it overturned.
One passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle and had serious injuries, and was immediately taken to the hospital.
Three other parties, including an infant, were ejected from the vehicle without force and had minor injuries.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
