Athens, GA – Passenger Injured in Car Accident on Carlton St

Athens, GA (March 6, 2020) – Around 4:54 p.m. on March 5, one person was injured in a car accident at a local Athens intersection.

Though the exact details of the accident have not yet been released, police confirmed that the collision took place at the intersection of Carlton Street and River Road.

The accident involved at least two vehicles. One of the passengers in one of the vehicles was injured and received neck pain. However, they are expected to recover.

There were delays in the area for a short period of time after the collision.

The University of Georgia Police Department continues to investigate the accident.
