Atlanta, GA (March 20, 2020) – Around 4:30 p.m. this afternoon, Atlanta Police responded to the scene of a truck crash that took place on a major highway.
The accident, according to police, took place in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Pleasantdale Road in Atlanta.
Police confirmed that a right lane of traffic was blocked due to the serious accident. Though the exact details of the accident are not known, a sedan was pictured in the area struck by a tractor-trailer. There were extensive damages to the side of the sedan.
Paramedics and other emergency responders assisted those with injuries at the scene of the collision.
The right lane of traffic was blocked for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation is now ongoing.
