Ball Ground, GA (March 19, 2020) – Around 2:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon, a woman was killed in a fatal accident on I-575 in Ball Ground. Now, police have identified those involved in the accident, including one person who received charges.
The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the accident occurred on I-575 north of Airport Drive in Ball Ground.
Police confirmed that a 60-year-old woman was traveling on the highway when she became involved in a road rage accident with a 25-year-old woman. The 25-year-old woman was struck and her vehicle lost control, which resulted in a serious accident. Her 6-year-old daughter was in the vehicle and injured as a result.
The 25-year-old woman was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The 60-year-old woman received various charges including vehicular homicide, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and aggressive driving.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
