Macon, GA (March 4, 2020) – Around 7 p.m. last evening, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a truck accident on I-75 in Macon. The parties involved have since been identified by police.
Police confirm that a 31-year-old man was driving north with his flatbed tractor-trailer when he crossed over the middle lane, putting him into the path of a box truck.
The driver of the box truck was identified as a 42-year-old man who rear-ended the flatbed. Both were injured, though only one of the drivers was taken to the hospital with injuries.
That area of the roadway was closed down for a period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision is currently ongoing.
