Stone Mountain, GA (March 21, 2020) – Around 2 p.m. yesterday, March 20, two children were injured in a pedestrian crash at a Stone Mountain intersection.
Police confirmed that the children, who were aged 5 and 11, were crossing the intersection of South Hairston Road and Mainstreet Park Drive in Stone Mountain. They were struck by a passing vehicle.
Both of the children were taken to the hospital with injuries and they are expected to be okay.
The driver of the vehicle who struck them remained at the scene. Police are not expecting charges.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
